At the Interalpin conference in Austria last week, Biofuel Express spoke about the importance of decarbonizing ski resorts to combat climate change. Liene Norberg, Manager of Strategic Relations, highlighted the significant carbon footprint of ski resorts and stressed the urgent need to transition to cleaner energy sources.

Ski resorts rely heavily on fossil fuels for transportation, snow grooming, snow making and heating, which contributes to the emission of greenhouse gases. One such sustainable biofuel that Liene highlighted during her speech at the Interalpin conference is HVO100 Renewable Diesel. This renewable diesel fuel is made from waste and residues and has been gaining popularity in various sectors as a greener alternative to fossil fuels. By switching to HVO100, ski resorts can significantly reduce their carbon footprint without compromising on performance.

“We need to start thinking about sustainability as a critical part of our business operations,” Liene said during her presentation. “By adopting biofuels, ski resorts can reduce their carbon footprint and take an important step towards becoming carbon-neutral.”

Our HVO100 Renewable Diesel delivers the same performance as regular diesel and can be used immediately without modification of engines or infrastructure. In addition, HVO100 has better combustion, filterability and cold temperature resistance than other diesel products in the market. It works seamlessly on all modern diesel engines and is approved for most heavy vehicles by the leading engine manufactures.
